Our Local Network

Washington Village u3a collaborates with other local u3as to organise joint events and to allow members to join interest groups in one another's u3as. The local u3as in our Network are Washington Village, Wessington, Washington, Cestria (Chester-le-Street) and Houghton. There is a formal Network Protocol in place governing how we operate. Our Network Representative is Derek Ginsberg.

Northumbria Region u3a

At regional level there are a number of activities, groups and events that Washington Village u3a members can contribute to and take part in. Further information about these can be found at Northumbria Region u3a or the Facebook page (Northumbria Region u3a).

The Northumbria Regional u3a also produces a Newsletter, ‘The Messenger’ with the articles appearing as they become available on the dedicated webpage. If the articles are very short the full text will appear on the page, but usually there will be a link to a pdf document that will appear as a separate tab in your browser. Generally, the most recent article is at the top of the page. This is available to all u3a members in the region.
