Led by Sandra & Stuart Graham. The above walk replaces the sheduled coastal walk from Easington Colliery to Blackhall because the path was very uneven and included a very steep set of steps to Horden Beach that we couldn't avoid going up and down.

Instead, we'll explore paths around Rainton Meadows we've not walked previously. This easy walk is around 5.5miles and paths are pretty good. Inclines are easily negotiated and worth the effort to see wide ranging views over Durham to Penshaw. There are 2 stiles on the route.

We will skirt the western path to the Meadows and make our way to Leamside. We have the option to call into The Three Horse Shoes for refreshments. We then pass through West Rainton before returning to Rainton Meadows, again walking paths new to the group.

Please meet at the car park in Rainton Meadows at 10am. There are toilets in the cafe there. What 3 words: flops.handsets.loaf.
