We start from Wylam at 10am, please arrive in advance and park in the free car park.

Part of the walk is along the national cycle path, part along the banks of the Tyne. About half is on tarmac. There is one section with a descent of 55 steps, but all the steps have a handrail alongside. Otherwise the route is relatively flat. 

We will stop at Prudhoe Riverside Park café which is at the midway point. Here there are refreshments, toilets and both inside and outside seating.
