Led by Carol Heslington. Distance - 5.5 miles. We start the walk at 10am in the car park of Chester le Street Riverside Park.

We will walk along the river til we get to the A183 (via the toilets). After a short walk along the A183 we cross back over and walk back towards and then around Lumley Castle. After crossing the B1284 we make our way to the view point at the top of Lumley (hopefully there will be good weather on the day). We head back down towards Riverside Park (this bit of the route can get muddy so with luck there will be a couple of dry days before Friday). Toilets - beginning and end of the walk.

Hopefully the cafe will be open in the park if anyone wants a cuppa at the end.
