Noses Point, Seaham. A 6 mile walk led by Sandra Graham. Please meet at 10:00am at the Noses Point car park, Seaham SR7 7TT. What 3 words: tucked.boardroom.tumblers. Car park charge is £3 for over 3 hours. The route takes us along the cliffs using the Durham Heritage Coast Walk and provides us with some spectacular views. There is virtually no change in elevation except for when we cross Hawthorn Dene. There is a good path through the Dene comprising of stepped sections and banks that take us across a footbridge over the waterway. We will then follow a path past Beacon Point and head for the coastal outskirts of Easington Colliery before returning to Noses Point following a railway track. Please note that there are no facilities along the route. There is an opportunity to take a refreshment break (bring your own) approximately halfway through the walk.
