The route takes us towards the river where the views remind us of the industrial importance of the Tyne and graffiti artists have worked hard to improve the area! We can pause at the Bill Quay Community Farm which has picnic tables, (basic) toilets and a refreshments kiosk. Mostly woodland, it’s a walk of about 5 miles.
