Notes for those interested in joining any group.
1. Anyone can attend one monthly meeting and one interest group meeting before deciding whether to join Washington Village u3a. Annual membership from 1st April 2026 is £12 (from 1st October until 31st March it is £8). More information about membership is on our Join Us page. Please note that there is a fee to attend some group sessions.
2. Please contact the "Group Leader" BEFORE attending a group to ensure there is space (click on the name at the top of this page to send a message).
We believe in gentle strolls: taking a leisurely stroll in the Washington area of about 2 to 3 miles on relatively good paths, which includes the option for a coffee and a chat.
June's 3 mile stroll was alongside the river from Fatfield bridge to Cox Green. The high temperature on the day meant several of the regular strollers did not attend, but for those who did the stroll we had a cooling breeze from the river and was under the shade of the trees. An enjoyable stroll on a hot day.
The strollers group gives you a chance to see some nice parts of Washington that you will not see from a car. Like the riverside walk which is one of Bill's favourite routes.
